National Louis University

While serving as National Louis University's Associate Creative Director, I had the opportunity to lead the transformation and rebranding of the nearly 140 year old institution. My primary challenge was to expand the branding to include the four distinct colleges within National Louis University- The Undergraduate College, The National College of Education, The College of Professional Studies and Advancement, and the recently acquired Kendall College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. 

Working alongside my in house design team and collaborating with a local creative agency, I was able to create a brand system and refreshed color palette that maintained the integrity of the original NLU branding, while expanding on key elements to create consistency throughout the four colleges. 

To introduce the revitalized NLU brand to our audience we also launched a campaign called Degrees of Difference. This campaign highlighted our new look, and properly introduced the four colleges for the first time. The tagline "Degrees of Difference" was one of several options presented to us by our agency partners. We chose it because it represents the distinct specialties of each college, as well as the differences NLU students strive to make in their communities. The campaign launched in 2019 across digital media including paid social, PPC, and email, as well as out of home media including billboards, radio spots and transit advertising.
